Social Security Disability already saw a number of benefit cuts and freezes in recent years. In fact, the disabled and seriously ill became the fastest-growing group of homeless people by the time of the Bush administration. This caused significant hardships, of course, and yet was virtually ignored by the media. Upon taking office, President Obama restored disability aid to former workers, but for whatever reason, the right wing has consistently targeted the disabled.

I think any reduction in medicare/soc security should be matched by Buffets Congressional Reform Act of 2012. Lets put the law makers on the same plan, not the elite version.

To clarify the above:

It’s twenty five thousand piles, each containing one thousand total of one thousand dollar bills.

Or 250 million one hundred dollar bills.

Or stuffed under a mattress, without earning interest, enough to spend $20,000 a week for the next 25,000 years.

And Sheldon isn’t even as rich as Warren or Bill.

The idea of a flat tax would be fine, IF it were levied on wealth, not income. You won’t hear many elites suggesting that, however, because it’s easier to extort a gal taking home $6.50 an hour than to take 2% a year from a guy with twenty five thousand piles of one thousand dollar bills. (Right, Sheldon?)

Then why not support a flat tax with no loopholes, everyone pays the same rate. From the top down to the bottom everyone pays the same rate and everyone has a stake in the outcome, what would be wrong with that?

Or do you simply want to keep people dependent on the Government so that they will vote in their own self interest instead of whats right?
