Obam and House and Senate: Over the cliff! Then, immediately,File blls to: Tax ALL high incomes over $500K at 50% (to curb the excesses of out-of-control plutocrats, who have abandoned good corporate governance and continue ro export capital, capabilities and JOBS, for their personal gains); Direct Treasury to pay a pittance on ALL non-pension debts to achieve a balanced budget; Submit individual bills for each of YOUR needed cost reductions; Call for the neoGOP House to submit bills for each of THEIR needed cost reductions; Shame the neoGOP headed House to work swiftly and resolutely on each of those cost reduction bills, by advising the people publicly and constantly yourself; Announce that drone strikes will continue against those who attack us and direct Defense to maintain required bases to do so; End the prolonged wars now proven to be unnecessary and failing and bring the troops home; Stay out of foreign civil clashes; Reduce foreign aid to luncheon meetngs wrh headsmfmstate and for food that 90% actually reaches the hungry; Borrow not, exept for needed infrastructure and submit bills for infrastructure work (JOBS); Direct Commerce to apply import fees to balance trade with each nation (in arrears); Direct HUD to submit a bill to extend Medicare to ALL citizens (single payer for basic coverage) and etc. Call me for more ideas for restoring our econmy and society to good health.

Just a quick thought about Chris Hayes’ book
I seem to recall Bob Somersby having a small problem with his analysis. A problem which I to share with Bob; and that Chris cant bring himself to call out his own cohort in the “liberal press” for their own elitism. (I call it the upper east side ism (see Joe Klein)
He makes the analogy with major league baseball and its failings as an elite institution.
It IS true however that NO ONE has come close to this self reflection as much as Chris though.
