Very informative blog post. But it has nothing to do at all with its title. Just say simply that this so called “cliff” is nothing more than” the sky is falling” talk, and carry on from there. That’s the hype. Obama is a genius for setting this one up and you could elaborate.

The commercial mass media in this country are just about as avaricious as the investment bankers. This is totally a money driven decision. What the People fail to benefit from, the investment banks, highly paid execs (grossly overpaid talking heads and media execs included) and investors everywhere will take to their own bottom lines. They are licking their chops! Also, these investment banks are major advertisers for the media, and maybe, just maybe, there is some sort of payola or tit for tat going on. Since the media have become so totally deregulated, what’s to stop that? Fake news, infomercials posing as public interest programming, and so on galore. Remember these media clowns sold the world on WMD with as much alacrity as they sell laxatives and male performance nostrums. Tell your Congresspeople NO GRAND DEAL! Hands off the benefits we have paid for and worked so hard to earn!

This is nice to see, Clarence. What’s the source? Just posting numbers with a heading could be misinformation. Not that I think you’d do that and just from appearances those numbers seem appropriate but I’d rather see something that substantiates those numbers.
